MC1384733: Power Platform admin center - Information about an update to storage capacity entitlement reporting
We have identified that the storage capacity entitlement report in the Power Platform admin center (PPAC) was incorrectly reporting storage capacity across the following Microsoft Dynamics 365 applications:
- Dynamics 365 Finance
- Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management
- Dynamics 365 Commerce
- Dynamics 365 Human Resources
- Dynamics 365 Project Operations
A misconfiguration was identified in the system that generates the affected reports, causing storage capacity from base licenses to be incorrectly carried over and displayed with attach and premium licenses. We developed a fix to correct this issue in the PPAC report.
Starting July 10, 2026, this fix will be rolled out in all regions, and the storage capacity entitlements will be reported in alignment with our standard licensing policy as outlined in the Microsoft Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Licensing Resources. Consistent with the licensing policy in place since 2020, attach licenses will no longer display additional storage capacity in the reporting. Premium licenses will reflect higher entitlements provided under the applicable licensing policy.
How does this affect me?
This fix does not change your storage capacity entitlements under the existing licensing policy.
What action do I need to take?
We advise customers that bought attach licenses to review their current storage usage and assess it against their licensed entitlements. If additional storage capacity is needed, please contact Microsoft or your partner representative(s) to discuss appropriate licensing options.
