We're migrating our public communities across from Microsoft Teams to Viva Engage... here's how to get started!
Marvelist Insiders and PrivPass Insiders has been a core part of the user experience in Marvelist and PrivPass for as long as the apps have been around. Users have been able to join a specific community hosted within Microsoft Teams that allows communication and collaboration between other like-minded individuals.
It's become clear over the recent months Microsoft Teams isn't the best place for these communities... it's less social, and harder to access than we first intended it to be.
So... with this, we're going to start migrating our communities across from Microsoft Teams, to Microsoft Viva Engage.
What's Viva Engage?
Viva Engage is a social networking platform designed within the Microsoft ecosystem. It allows the creation of "communities" to foster engagement, collaboration and communication for specific topic areas.
This is what we're going to start using.
We think you'll find it easier to use, more accessible, and more "Engage"-ing (get it?).
How do I log in?
We've been working behind the scenes to make this as easy as possible and have managed to narrow it down to one simple URL.
Bookmark, save, and keep safe this URL. It'll be the single point of entry for you to access any and all Tophhie Cloud communities; including Marvelist Insiders, and PrivPass Insiders.
What happens once I go to the link?
Once you use the link above you'll be asked to log in. Providing you've been invited to a Tophhie Cloud community, this should be a fairly painless process.
- Just enter your email address and click Next.
- You'll be taken through the sign in process.
- This will involve either sending you a one-time code to your email address or logging in with your Microsoft or Google account.
- You may be asked to set up multi-factor authentication. This is a requirement, we want to keep things secure here.
- You may also be asked to accept our "Guest Usage Policy", this policy dictates how you should act and behave within our communities and our environment. You'll need to accept this to gain access.
- You'll then be redirected to Viva Engage!
How do I work this thing?
Here's some helpful tips to get you started...
- Communities you are a member of are visible in the sidebar on the left. Click on any of them to access that community.
- Once in a community, you can post on the community's timeline.
- You can start a discussion, ask a question, praise another community member, or start a poll.
- Posts can also include images, or you can attach files.
- Favourite a community by clicking the "heart" under the community banner image, to add it to your favourites for quick access.
