Tophhie Social: October 2025 Debrief
Tophhie Social has been active and open for sign ups for around 7 weeks now... let's review how we're doing!
It's been an amazing couple of months for Tophhie Social, but what did we actually achieve?
- 14th July 2025 – Well, firstly... we launched! Privately to start with, just to iron out the kinks. 🚀
- In this middle period, we secured the server, configured the domains, built out the backup system, and pieced together our terms and privacy policies. We essentially built the service! 📃
- 3rd Sept 2025 – We opened up sign-ups to everyone! 🧑🤝🧑
- 14th Sept 2025 – We launched our PDS dashboard! Courtesy of an open-source project by our friends over at https://witchcraft.systems/. 🪄

- 14th Sept 2025 – We launched our PDS migration tool! Allowing bsky.app users to move their repos over to Tophhie Social... 🚶🏻
- 18th Sept 2025 – We launched our PDS sign up tool! Allowing new atproto users to create a brand new account on Tophhie Social... 👋🏻
- 18th Sept 2025 – We published guidance on migrating your Bluesky account over to Tophhie Social! 📦

- 22nd Sept 2025 – We commisioned our new tophhie.social domain. Then migrated PDS repos using our old pds.tophhie.cloud domain over to our new tophhie.social domain.
- 23rd Sept 2025 – We open-sourced our dashboard, migration tool, and sign up tool on GitHub! 🧑🏻💻
- 24th Sept 2025 – We started posting the Tophhie Social uptime statistics on the @tophhie.social account! 📈
- 1st Oct 2025 – We launched our private Viva Engage community for "Tophhie Social (atproto)" allowing Tophhie Social users and other atproto users to come together and discuss all things atproto! 💬
- 1st Oct 2025 – We hit 99.9% uptime for Tophhie Social for the month of September!! 🥳
- 7th Oct 2025 – We published our new Repo Deletion Process! In line with our aim for transparency, we disclosed how we look after your data when you decide to leave us. 🙋🏻♂️

And it doesn't stop there... we have other projects further protect your digital identity and data on the atproto network!
As of today (21st Oct 2025) we're actually on track to achieve 100% uptime for Tophhie Social for the month of October!! 🤞🏻 We're trying not to jinx it... but here's to hoping we hit it!
