Dragon Copilot – Enhancements to the clinical documentation experience for UK clinicians
We are announcing enhancements to the clinical documentation experience for UK clinicians in Dragon Copilot. These updates have been informed by UK clinical documentation and guidance to better reflect UK clinical practices. These enhancements will be deployed on September 1, 2026.
How does this affect me?
The below changes will only be available for UK Dragon Copilot releases:
- Improved UK localisation
Increased use of British English terminology and phrasing. - Improved consistency in UK date formatting.
Enhanced note structure:
The History of Presenting Illness section will be organised using UK-style clerking subheadings, including:
- Presenting Complaint
- History of Presenting Complaint
- Past Medical History
- Past Surgical History (when applicable)
These changes do not apply to specialty-optimised outputs.
More complete medication documentation
Where verbalised during the encounter, medication entries may now include:
- Dosage
- Frequency
- Route of administration
Reduced stigmatising language
Updates have been made to support more patient-centred documentation.
What action do I need to take?
The update will be applied automatically, with users gradually receiving the enhanced documentation experience throughout the rollout period.
These enhancements will only apply to Dragon Copilot in the UK and will be available for the versions below:
- Dragon Copilot (web, desktop, mobile, embedded)
- Dragon Copilot for Epic, DAX Copilot (web, desktop, mobile, embedded)
- DAX Copilot for Epic
