Microsoft Dragon Copilot – June Epic special update may impact ambient workflows
Epic is releasing a special update at the end of June that affects ambient workflows in iOS apps (Haiku, Canto, Rover).
How does this affect me?
Offline language support:
- After this update, ambient recording offline will only work in your data center's primary language. Users in Belgium, Canada, Ireland, the Netherlands, and the United States who record in a secondary language will need an active internet connection to do so. Please stay connected when using a non-primary language.
New iOS audio pipeline:
- This update introduces a new native audio recording system that will be the new standard going forward.
Important considerations before taking action:
- Nursing customers should wait until Microsoft performs validation testing before installing.
- If you're already live on Nebula or have SMART on FHIR enabled for Android, no additional setup is needed.
- Complete your SMART on FHIR configuration first — this is required to avoid disruption.
- Validate in a non-production environment before rolling out to production.
