MC1394997: Finance and operations apps - Self-Service Disaster Recovery (SSDR) now Generally Available (GA)
We are announcing the ability to strengthen service resilience with Self-Service Disaster Recovery (SSDR) in finance and operations apps. This feature will reach general availability on June 22, 2026.
How does this affect me?
With SSDR enabled for finance and operations environments, you can benefit from improved availability, compliance readiness, and disaster recovery posture. A secondary asynchronous copy is created and maintained in a remote Azure region, with seamless failover and failback, with SSDR enabled on your production environments for finance and operations apps.
Key capabilities:
- One-click failover to a secondary region during an outage.
- One-click failback once the primary region is restored.
- Ability to run resilience drills by simulating outage scenarios.
- Flexibility to test disaster recovery without impacting production uptime.
Storage considerations:
- SSDR maintains a secondary copy of your production data.
- Total storage consumption will increase to approximately two times your primary environment.
- Ensure sufficient storage capacity is available.
