MC1325059: Dynamics 365 Commerce - Prevent the return of specific items in point of sale

We are announcing the ability to prevent the return of specific items in point of sale (POS) in Dynamics 365 Commerce. This feature will reach general availability on June 30, 2026.

How does this affect me?
Users will be able to configure specific products or product hierarchies as non-returnable in the environment. Once configured, POS will block returns for those items to support return policy enforcement and reduce unauthorized returns. Users with appropriate permissions will still be able to complete returns through a manual override process when exceptions are required.

What action do I need to take?
To use this feature, users will need to configure the non-returnable property on released products individually or in bulk through the category view. Users should also review and configure permission settings for manual return overrides as needed.
