What and Why
We’re introducing immersive events in Microsoft Teams, enabling organizers to host interactive virtual experiences using avatars in customizable 3D environments. This feature enhances engagement for remote and hybrid meetings by allowing attendees to move freely in a virtual space, participate in spatial audio conversations, and express themselves with avatar reactions. This update aligns with our goal to make virtual collaboration more engaging and inclusive—no additional app downloads required.
